No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency

A few years ago, a good friend gave me a copy of the first book in The Number One Ladies' Detective Agency series. 

Set in Botswana, the series follows Precious Ramotswe, who sets up shop as a private investigator. With the help of a doting auto repair shop proprietor, she solves all manner of crimes. It's charming, funny, and oh-so-African. 

Recently we found out the BBC had produced it as a series, so we put it in our Netflix queue. The pilot was several hours' long, but the episodes are much shorter. 

Perfect for a little TV time together at the end of a long day. Highly recommended.
