Denali Shows Its Face

We returned early this morning from a trip to Vancouver, BC, a visit with my sister in Washington State, and eleven days in Alaska—a gift from a generous family member. A highlight for me was seeing Denali (AKA Mt. McKinley), the highest point in North America. Being from a mountain-climbing family, and the daughter of a man who helped build the Alcan Highway, I have wanted to see Alaska since I can remember, especially this peak. The  mountain shows its summit to only about 30% of visitors, and we were blessed to be in that number—even if only for a few minutes.

"He restoreth my soul."
