Dostoevsky's Brother's K is my all-time fave. Upon the release of her memoir, Waiting to Be Heard, Amanda Knox said she found solace in Marilynne Robinson’s Housekeeping while incarcerated, and listed Vladimir Nabokov, Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Jonathan Safran Foer and David Foster Wallace among her favorite authors, according to an interview with the
New York Times.
Just think. Instead of paying all that tuition, I could have just gotten myself arrested if I wanted to read the Western canon uninterrupted. Incidentally, my final defense is set for Tuesday, July 9. All prayers appreciated.
