Arabs: Correcting Misconceptions

From the Arab Women Today Ministries web site:

"Muslim," "Arab," and "Islam" are not interchangeable terms. Islam refers to the religion itself. Muslims are the followers of Islam. Arabs are a linguistic and cultural community with a common history.

Most, but not all, Arabs are Muslims.

The Bedouin image of Arabs is outdated. Most Arabs live in cities, towns and villages. Bedouins make up about 2% of the population in the Arab World.
