So long, Andy!

Check out this short excerpt from "The Man In The Hurry" episode. A tough businessman needs his car fixed, but it is Sunday and no one in Mayberry works on Sunday. Andy and Barney show by example how to relax and enjoy a day of rest. For a moment (and only a moment) the curmudgeon softens, singing along with a song he obviously knew in a previous era of his life. 

The Andy Griffith show was a brilliant one with great writers and producers. The scene is a terrific example of their work.

Decades later Griffith went on to win a Grammy for an album of hymns. Don Knotts could carry a tune, too.
