UpdateI

FaithVillage.com ran my article, Create in Me A Green Heart, today--my thoughts on environmentalism. Check it out.

Last weekend both Aggie nieces were in town along with a boyfriend, and we all carved pumpkins. The proud dad is responsible for the A&M-o-lantern. We carved while watching the Rangers play in the World Series!
My intern and I are headed to Maryland and Pennsylvania this weekend, spending time with my friend Erin T. and her fam, and then doing a women's retreat for Calvary Baptist in Hanover, Maryland. The fall colors in the Northeast should be gorgeous. But it's supposed to rain...if it doesn't snow. I find it difficult to wrap my mind around that, since the sun brought us 85 degrees in Dallas today, where the trees still look like summer--well, better than summer, since this summer they looked dead.
This semester I'm teaching two classes--one on women in ministry and the other, Creative Writing. Love both.
I'm gearing up for the wedding of Carlos, our "son" on 11-11-11. In the future he has no excuse for ever forgetting his anniversary date. Not that he ever would. After the wedding, we have the DTS women's conference. I'm set to participate on a technology panel. To sign up for the conference, go to www.dts.edu/ccl.
My dissertation is coming along. I'm aiming for a November 15 date to have the first draft finished on the novel portion. Feel free to pray I make it!
I found out last month that I get to go to Australia with my Aussie friend Felicity in May if all goes as planned. Do a little speaking and see if I fall off the world.
Looks like the next Coffee Cup book is Christmas Chai with Malachi, but don't look for it in December of 2011!
