You Can Help
Both sides in the abortion debate say they'd like to see a reduction in the number of abortions. What can one person do? Volunteer your time. Pregnancy Resource Centers nationwide offer free pregnancy tests and counseling, prepared childbirth classes, life skills education, and material assistance for mother and baby. To do that they need:
. Organizers - a good teen opportunity to work 1-2 hours weekly in the baby room, sorting goods, making layette bags, and working in the maternity closet.
. Prayer intercessors - pray on behalf of the ministry on a regular basis.
. Committee work - help plan events.
. Short-term projects - help with mailings, do filing, work in the office.
. Nurses and Ob/gyns or radiologists - work in clinics, perform pregnancy tests, perform limited sonograms, educate middle school and high school students
. Lend professional service - graphic design, public relations, video production, human resources
. People who sew. Could you or a group of friends make diaper bags, burping cloths, baby blankets?
