Bible Girl

If you live in or near Dallas (or used to), you know that the Dallas Observer is the weekly alternative paper in town. My friend, Julie Lyons, is the editor, and she has started a new column titled "Bible Girl." Warning: This is not your fundy granny's Bible column. This week's entry is accompanied by a photo of a nekked Barbie running through a graveyard. Well, okay, I think she is wearing yellow boots or socks, but you get the idea.

Julie is not afraid to talk turkey. Check out what she posted today on The Mystery of Sexual Orientation. I read it to one of my writer friends who writes eloquent prose, and all she could come up with in response was, "Dang!" Not "dang" as in "crum." But "dang" as in "that girl has my R-E-S-P-E-C-T."
