Win-Win

Thanks to readers who swing by here on their way to Amazon. When you use the Amazon "search" box in the right column of this blog to take you to their site, Amazon gives us a tiny cut of whatever you purchase--at no extra charge to you. And when you buy anything from a book to a Kindle to groceries to office supplies, those "tiny cuts" add up.

We use this Amazon-generated passive income to help finance projects related to our work in Kenya. We've purchased Swahili/English dictionaries for nationals, bought stuff to add to kids' donated backpacks, and even covered a month of postal services. It's a great way to donate without spending one dime--just a teeny bit of time. Our dream is to generate enough income from Amazon to purchase a portable solar panel and hand-held projector for our partners to show the Jesus film in remote parts of D. R. Congo.

Also, if you have a digital or 35 mm film camera lying around, we could put it to good use. The film cameras we give to nationals to help them generate income. They make money photographing special occasions like weddings and selling the photos. We need the digital cameras for those who will photograph at-risk kids and email us their photos so we can help them find sponsors for food and school.
