A New Study
In the next week or so, Kregel plans to launch the third edition of
Sexual Intimacy in Marriage, which I co-authored with Bill Cutrer, M.D. As we were finishing up the galley proofs, he sent me some info on the latest research, as he is prone to do. This one was about a new study he felt sure I should know about. You need to know I'm not saying I agree or disagree. I'm just reporting it how I heard it, okay? His subject line was "important information" and the body of the text read as follows:
A study conducted by UCLA's Department of Psychiatry has revealed that the kind of face a woman finds attractive on a man can differ depending on where she is in her menstrual cycle. For example: If she is ovulating, she is attracted to men with rugged and masculine features. If she is menstruating or menopausal, however, she tends to be more attracted to a man with duct tape over his mouth and a spear lodged in his chest while he is on fire. No further studies are expected.
