On Story and Suicide
Do you follow the world of Christian fiction? The CBA fiction world continues to push for more celebrity and big sales. But we're also seeing a trend toward more literary works. Follow the link to this article that a writer friend, Leigh, brought to my attention. Totally unrelated, she also flagged for me this witty little satirical piece on suicide by Dorothy Parker (1893-1967):
Razors pain you;
Rivers are damp;
Acids stain you;
And drugs cause cramp.
Guns aren't lawful;
Nooses give;
Gas smells awful;
You might as well live.
